Resident lifestyle program launches with exciting new activities
Ingenia Gardens is proud to launch the 2018/2019 resident lifestyle program, Activate across its 26 seniors communities. The Activate resident lifestyle program creates a sense of belonging, fun and friendship for all residents.
Designed to enhance the lives of residents, Activate brings them together on a regular basis in a social setting to enjoy games that promote both cognitive health and physical well-being. All games and events are held in the central community room which is the heart of the village and is well connected with covered walkways to residents’ homes.
The complimentary resident lifestyle program is the pinnacle of the social calendar and creates a real point of difference and strong sense of community compared to living at home on your own.
The 2018/2019 program features resident favourites such as, What Starts with the Letter?, Joker Lotto and Hoy as well as some new comers, My Name Is, Ingeniaopoly and Carnival games.
Village Managers can also hire items such as movies, computer games and board games to keep residents entertained.
Besides the monthly games, residents also enjoy three-course themed meals, performances by musicians, dancers, choirs; bus trips to local places of interest, charity drives and fund raising events. Popular charity events include RSPCA Cupcake Day, Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea and RUOK?
Many residents have lost their long-term partner or may not have family close by which makes the celebration of resident birthdays and milestone anniversaries even more important to the whole community.
