Community Engagement and Impact

Ingenia is deeply connected to the regional communities in which we operate. Meaningful community engagement is not peripheral to our strategy – it is integral to it.

At its core, it is an extension of our broader purpose to build belonging.

As one of the largest employers in many of our regional locations, we contribute significantly to local economies.

Through a combination of direct economic contribution, structured philanthropy, employee volunteering, and strategic partnerships, we work to create tangible and lasting social value beyond the boundaries of our communities and parks.

Our communities are designed to foster connection, wellbeing and inclusion, and we prioritise creating environments where residents and guests feel supported and engaged. Programs and initiatives are developed to enhance the lived experience across our communities, contributing to positive social outcomes.

Social Impact and Regional Economic Contribution

With a large and growing regional footprint across the east coast of Australia, we are uniquely positioned to deliver meaningful local impact at scale. This occurs through several channels:

  • As a significant employer in regional areas where alternative employment opportunities may be limited
  • The economic activity generated by our operations, which supports local businesses, contractors, and supply chains
  • The accommodation and tourism spend our holiday parks attract to regional economies
  • Targeted support of local community groups and charitable causes.

This regional economic contribution is a key component of our social value creation.

Our teams frequently participate in local tourism boards and chambers of commerce, embedding Ingenia's operational presence within broader regional development discussions and reinforcing our role as a long-term stakeholder in the communities in which we operate.

Ingenia Giving Program

Ingenia's structured approach to community investment is delivered through the Ingenia Giving Program, which operates across three complementary pillars:

  • Community-Based Giving empowers local managers to allocate funds at a grassroots level, directly supporting resident-led initiatives and fostering community engagement
  • Staff-Based Giving offers employees charity leaves and donation matching, encouraging personal participation in community causes and reinforcing a culture of giving across the workforce
  • Corporate and Regional Giving supports strategic partnerships with organisations of national significance, including Ronald McDonald House Australia (RMH) and the Port Stephens Koala Hospital.

In FY25, the Group donated over $100,000 to support local communities and charitable causes – a demonstration of the scale and consistency of our community investment commitment.

Employees are offered one day of paid volunteer leave annually, with many participating in organised volunteer activities throughout the year.

Ronald McDonald House Partnership

Our longest-standing and most substantial community partnership is with Ronald McDonald House Australia (RMH), now entering its tenth consecutive year. This partnership exemplifies Ingenia's approach to community investment –combining financial support with meaningful in-kind contributions and active employee and resident participation.

To date, we have contributed over $445,000 in cash donations. The partnership extends beyond financial contribution providing volunteering opportunities and engagement with our residents and guests.

The depth and longevity of this partnership reflect well on our culture and our ability to engage both employees and residents in a shared sense of purpose – an attribute that supports staff retention, resident satisfaction, and broader stakeholder goodwill.

Beyond our primary charitable partnerships, we maintained and expanded a range of strategic sponsorships that reflect our commitments to Reconciliation, community safety, and regional engagement. In FY25 these included:

  • Continuation of our naming rights sponsorship of the Beach to Bush program run by Surf Life Saving NSW – the state's largest surf safety educational program. This partnership is particularly well-aligned with Ingenia's regional footprint and our role in supporting the safety and wellbeing of the communities surrounding our holiday parks.
  • Sponsorship of the U17 Girls Blacktown Red Belly Warriors at the 52nd NSW Koori Knockout – our first time supporting this significant Indigenous sporting and cultural event held on Wiradyuri Country in Bathurst.  This sponsorship reflects our Reconciliation commitments and our focus on building meaningful relationships with First Nations communities.
  • Partnering with the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation for the Lights for Kids campaign.
  • Hosting four Souths Cares Leadership and Cultural Camps across our holiday parks, supporting the development of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders through immersive cultural experiences on Awabakal and Worimi Country.

Ingenia's community engagement program represents more than philanthropic goodwill. It is a structured and measurable component of our social licence to operate.

The breadth and consistency of our community investment activity, combined with our regional economic contribution and focus on Reconciliation, supports a strong and differentiated social impact narrative that is increasingly relevant to ESG-focused investors and stakeholders.
