Ingenia is the first developer to deliver Green Star Homes at scale, through the development of a Green Star Homes precinct at Ingenia Lifestyle Springside - underscoring Ingenia’s ESG commitment to delivering climate-resilient, healthy, and sustainable communities.
Green Star is a comprehensive and nationally recognised framework supporting sustainable outcomes. For certification, each home must demonstrate high energy efficiency, use of renewable energy, and climate resilience.
40 Ingenia Lifestyle Springside homes have Green Star Homes As-Built certification, with a further 12 in the process of achieving the certification.
Across the Group’s Holidays portfolio the addition of new cabins is a key strategy aimed at delivering enhanced guest experience and investor returns.
With this in mind, the Holidays team embarked on a process to create a more sustainable tourism cabin that would incorporate the Group’s focus on sustainable development and support broader outcomes.
A net zero prototype cabin – developed in partnership with the University of Wollongong and Prefabulous, has now been installed at Ingenia Holidays Park Inverloch VIC. The build includes integrated renewable energy systems and specifications to achieve a 7-star NatHERS rating, providing valuable intellectual property for future builds.
