Creating Sustainable Communities
We are focussed on ensuring that our new developments represent sustainable and resilient communities. In approaching development, our focus extends beyond the initial creation of the community. We also take into account the long-term impacts associated with the continued ownership and operation of the completed development.
Over FY25 we continued to evolve our approach, benchmarking current projects against our Sustainability Design Guidelines which draw on our work to date incorporating many of our current and past initiatives.
Green Star Ambition
We operate in an emerging sector where there have been limited opportunities to adopt industry wide standards. After consideration of our development needs, we have chosen to work with the Green Building Council of Australia. The Green Star ratings system provides a holistic and robust sustainable design framework for large scale community and home development. Key recent achievements include the delivery of Green Star Homes at Springfield and the achievement of Green Star Communities certifications.
